‘DecisionVector’ Workshop

A central offering is the Signal in the Noise ‘DecisionVector’ Workshop, a half-day or full-day facilitated experience for CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, CMOs, CTOs, CISOs, AI leaders, operations management, digital transformation executives, team managers, architecture leaders, product leaders, and senior business sponsors of technology or organizational change. The workshop introduces participants to Signal Detection Theory in practical leadership language and helps them apply the concepts of signal, noise, sensitivity, bias, hits, misses, false alarms, and correct rejections to real enterprise decisions.

Using aviation as a powerful guiding metaphor, the workshop places participants inside the “enterprise cockpit.” Leaders examine how they scan for weak signals, how they distinguish meaningful information from background noise, how they respond under uncertainty, and how their individual and collective biases shape decisions. Activities include scenario-based simulations, group decision exercises, sensitivity and bias self-assessments, decision-threshold mapping, go-around criteria design, and structured leadership debriefs.

Participants leave with practical tools they can use immediately, including an individual sensitivity scorecard, a group sensitivity scorecard, a bias calibration map, a decision debrief template, and a leadership flight plan. Leadership teams gain a shared language for discussing decision quality without blame, surfacing weak signals earlier, challenging assumptions more effectively, and improving the way decisions are made across strategy, cybersecurity, AI, architecture, cloud, vendors, talent, risk, and innovation.
