Is this an online offering or do I get to come over to your facility and fly a real simulator?

This is a real simulator. You have to come over to the Av8rAero flight simulation center at Schaumburg Airport to experience it.

I do not have any prior flight experience. Can I still come over and experience your simulator?

YES. The very mission of Av8rAero is to bring the magic of flight closer to everyone. In fact, Av8rAero was set up to introduce flying to those that have never experienced being a pilot. The lesser experience you have the more fun this will be.

I am a Student Pilot. Will a simulator help me cut down the cost of my flight training?

ABSOLUTELY. Flight training research has continually indicated that simulators can cut down the cost of flight training by 30%-50%

How do i make a purchase?

We have made the purchase process easier. Please choose the simulator package you would like to purchase from the Store. Click on “Add to Cart”. Click on the “Shopping Cart” icon on the top of the page. Complete the purchase by clicking “Checkout”. You will receive an email confirmation with your order number. Your purchase never expires. Do I book on your Website or on Groupon?

We run promotions on our website and sometimes on Groupon as well. Due to the dynamic nature of promotions and pricing, it is hard to predict which offer is less expensive at a particular point in time. Hence to maintain transparency, we request you to review the Groupon site as well as our Website for the best deal available on any day. It is very possible that our website has better pricing on a particular day or vice versa.

What is the minimum age to be able to use the simulator?

This is a question we get frequently. There is no real minimum (or maximum) age to come and have fun. However, we typically say 14+ only because to reach the pedals and still be able to see the visuals, one needs a little height. That said, we have had groups of 9 year-olds come and enjoy the simulator multiple times. As the form indicates, if the participant is younger than 18, we need a parent of guardian to accompany the child for the reservation.

Are you a flight school?

No. We are NOT a flight school. We do not provide flight instruction. We lease time on our flight simulators for either a fun entertainment experience or for pilots/non-pilot to use for their training or for maintaining proficiency.

We do have partnerships with flight schools that we can refer you to, if you are interested in taking a Discovery Flight or enroll in flight training. Many of our customers in fact do go on to take a Discovery Flight after experiencing the magic of flight on our simulators.
